SD8964 : Peregrine nest at Malham Cove

taken 9 years ago, near to Malham, North Yorkshire, England

Peregrine nest at Malham Cove
Peregrine nest at Malham Cove
This is taken on the approach to Malham Cove where, on this particular day at least, the RSPB had representatives with scopes to show visitors the precise location of the peregrine falcon next on the eastern cliff. If you run your eye from the vertex of western and eastern cliff to the right, past one hawthorn, another hawthorn and a third hawthorn growing out of the top of the cliff, then a little further on, you will see a patch of ivy running up the cliff face right in the centre of shot (just before the overhang). That is where the nest is located. Malham, North Yorkshire.
