Opened on Wednesday 23rd May 2007, the new Taw Bridge will carry traffic around Barnstaple, thus avoiding heavy nose to tail traffic through the town. Construction was begun in February 2005 by Nuttalls Construction and thanks to generally good weather, was finished on target.
