TG1201 : Railway Bridge, Wymondham
Wymondham, Norfolk, Great Britain

Railway Bridge, Wymondham
This bridge once carried the Wymondham-Forncett line (linking the Norwich-Ely and Norwich-Ipswich lines), known locally as the "Swede and Swimmer" after the swedish immigrants who built it and the "swimmers" (Norfolk dumplings) they ate. The 6.5 mile line was opened in 1881 and closed in 1939. See Link
(bottom of page) for more info.
To the left (west) of this bridge, the trackbed can be walked as part of a circular route also taking in the Lizard meadows nearby.
