Of course it's now the Art Department of Aberystwyth University. The Art Department website ([LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) ]) gives the building's history pretty fair coverage. Grade II listed building: see [LinkExternal link]. The word "Memorial" in the title is entirely foreign to me - it's EDCL. The upper floor with the oval windows contained the teaching labs, and when I was here 1967-1972, only the southern one was in use, for first and second year Organic Chemistry. Other functions had been moved into the modern southern wing, and Third Year Organic Chemistry was in a modern extension at the rear. The basement of the old building contained postgraduate organic research labs.
