NT1270 : Ratho climbing wall

taken 13 years ago, near to Ratho, Edinburgh, Great Britain

Ratho climbing wall.
Ratho climbing wall.
A roofed-over quarry turned into a climbing wall. No expense spared, but the place is dogged with financial worries. It's a pig to get at; the best cycling route involves scrambling up a bank from the canal, and expensive. Seriously impressive though.

Most of the original quarry is still available to climb on free of charge.
