Bridge over Blackhorse Road
Bridge over Blackhorse Road
When the London & Southampton Railway was built in 1838 the size of road vehicles was limited to that of a horse and cart, so it built most of its bridges to suit. This one, over Blackhorse Road, where the railway runs on a high embankment, is more like a road tunnel.
