Tate Liverpool is an art gallery and museum which opened in 1988 and is housed in a converted warehouse within the Albert Dock on Liverpool's waterfront. Until 2003, Tate Liverpool was the largest gallery of modern and contemporary art in the UK outside of London.

In common with the other converted warehouses grouped around the dock, the Tate Liverpool is a Grade I listed building (English Heritage Building ID: 213632 LinkExternal link British Listed Buildings). It dates from 1841-45.
