SP5343 : Open Access area sign

near to Thorpe Mandeville, Northamptonshire, Great Britain

Open Access area sign
Open Access area sign
The main section of the sign reads:

Open access has been provided to create additional opportunities for walks through this mixed arable and grassland farm. It also links with existing access on the adjacent farm to create a circular route from the north of the village. The open access grazed pastures, managed in a traditional way to enhance their value as wildlife habitats and to conserve their mediaeval 'ridge and furrow' field patterns. Across the farm, hedgerows are being restored and arable field margins are being managed to improve their wildlife value.

The small print at the bottom notes that this is permissive access and ends in September 2011.
