There are a dozen or so flooded gravel pits and/or man made pools in this grid square. Extensive recreational facilities for angling and clay pigeon shooting are available here. However, the cindered track leading 500 metres from the lane at SJ994037, has many rapidly spreading clumps of Japanese Knotweed which are going to need attention before very long.
