Pyfleet and Pewit Island
This picture was taken from the sea wall around Reevshall Marsh looking north across the Pyefleet Channel towards the western tip of Pewit Island. The mainland in the background is part of Fingeringhoe Wick military firing range. When this photo was taken the tide had been on the turn for about an hour the mudflats were beginning to be exposed by the receding water. Oystercatchers and redshank were gathering for the feast.
