Medieval carving II, Holy Trinity Church, Wensley
This originally formed part of the Scrope chantry at Easby Abbey and was moved to Wensley Church when the Abbey was dissolved ca. 1536. For more, see Richmondshire Churches by H. B. McColl. The arms are: Scrope and Tiptoft quarterly, impaling quarterly of six: 1. Dacre; 2. Greystock; 3. Greystock (ancient); 4. Boteler of Wem; 5. Morvile; 6. Vaux. The Cornish chough supporters have sadly lost their heads at some point.
