The Chapel Royal was built in 1807 to 1814 to the designs of Francis Johnston. Serving as the official Church of Ireland chapel of the Household of the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. This role ended in 1922 with the creation of the Irish Free State. The interior is one of the finest Gothic revival interiors in Ireland. Now a Roman Catholic church.
