Lock No 35, Hatton flight, Grand Union Canal
The Hatton flight of 21 wide locks is a daunting experience for any boatman, taking around four hours of continuous hard work. This pair of full-length boats, working breasted-up out of Lock No 35, are almost half way up - a small bridge just ahead of the boats is called 'Half Way Bridge'.
