Soay Sheep thankful to be shed of its fleece
Soay Sheep thankful to be shed of its fleece
Soay sheep are a Rare Breed originating from St Kilda. This is a female - we call her Leah - who is seen here after her first shearing, and not too unhappy at the outcome. My wife will spin the fleece for a natural coloured ply and add it to her collection ready for knitting! We have two sheep on our smallholding both grown in size since the winter snow NH6454 : Feeding our Soay sheep.
