The church at Fotheringhay at dawn
The mist was rising from the River Nene at 5:30am in May 2005 as I drove from Warmington. Nearby is the remains of Fotheringhay Castle, where Richard III was born and Mary, Queen of Scots was executed. Every year the Richard III Society holds a carol concert in the church, which is about half its original size.
