The transformation of Reading station has been quite astonishing, rendering it unrecognisable. This view is of the west end of the through platforms, seen from platform 7 (the southernmost of these). The process is not quite complete: note the large number of sacks of building materials on the left, and the overhead line equipment gantries that do not yet carry wires.
