Moulton Windmill

Moulton mill is a nine-storey 29.6 metres high tower mill in Moulton, Lincolnshire.
The mill was built in 1822 by Robert King, later owners installed a roller mill and the windmill became used for special order grinding and wheat storage. However, on 20th December 1894, the sails were damaged in a harsh gale and were removed in 1895. A. W. Tindall leased it from the King family from 1890 until 1921. The Biggadike family, who took over tenancy of the mill in 1924 continued to grind animal feed 1995.

The Grade I listed mill is still being restored to working condition by volunteers. In 2003 it was featured on the first series of BBC2's Restoration. A lottery grant of over 1 million was later won and it opened to the public on the 29th April 2005.
21 November 2011 saw the new steel (stock) patent sails added, further work on the striking rod is needed along with machinery improvements before flour can be ground for sale.
