SP9213 : Looking West across Marsworth Reservoir

taken 9 years ago, near to Marsworth, Buckinghamshire, England

Looking West across Marsworth Reservoir
Looking West across Marsworth Reservoir
The steam that fills Marsworth Reservoir enters to the left of the camera position, and the county boundary follows the line the stream took before the canal was built over 200 years ago. This means that the tree on the left is in Hertfordshire, while the trees on the right are in Buckinghamshire.
The camera position is on the towpath of the Grand Union Canal.
The Reservoir is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
