Located on the corner of North Street and Ship Street and acquired by Vokins after they had built their store at
TQ3104 : 32-36, North Street, Brighton. From 1845 it had been a hatter and tailor for over forty years, then spent another fifty as a Hepworths the tailor. After the Second World War it was briefly a wine merchants before its acquisition by Vokins. When the department store closed the shop became the entrance to TK Maxx container the escalators that lead up to two shop floors above which extended eastwards above numbers thirty four and five. In the early 2010s the store decided to expand and refitted the shop to include the frontages of numbers thirty four and five, moving to a temporary store in North Street Quadrant during the redevelopment.
