Late Victorian public house, now converted to a house. The boundary referred to may well be that between Worksop and the village of Radford, the two being the communities centred respectively on the castle and the priory.
I remember the large oak tree on the right of this picture in 1945-1950. It was surrounded by grass fields then and I used to fly my red kite there in the long grass. However, there were strange marks in the grass, where Almond Grove and Robinson Drive had been laid out but all work had been stopped by the war in 1939. Just to the right were many allotments, each with its own little shed.
