The round stair-turret and the lower stages of the tower are Anglo-Saxon work. The topmost stage of the tower is Perpendicular - a style (and period) less often met with in Lincolnshire than the Decorated.
Round stair-turrets seem to have been characteristic of Anglo-Saxon churches in Lincolnshire and neighbouring counties:

The photo was taken in early spring. Posting the image some six and a half years later, I can't help but remember the 'sound-track' that went with it: the hubbub from a good old-fashioned rookery close by.
