Dry Stane Dykes, Malhamdale
Dry Stane Dyke. The area around Malham is littered with them. Malham Cove in the background. A natural amphitheatre. At the top of Malham Cove weathering has caused a series of 'clints' (like footpaths). LinkExternal link Between these are gaps a few metres deep called 'grykes' which, over time, will become vertical caves. The view from atop Malham Cove is spectacular. LinkExternal link
