Rock Dove (Columba livia), Northdale
In a ploughed field. The humble Rock Dove is wild ancestor of the maligned Feral Pigeon. This individual shows typical Rock Dove plumage, but even here, at the very edge of Britain, birds showing traits of Feral Pigeons are quite frequent these days.
