Purple Beech Trees, Applegarth
Planted in 1937 to commemorate the coronation of King George VI. This thin strip of public land runs between the cattle market on the left and the "west road" servicing the back yards of the shops on the high street. It opens out a hundred yards to the north SE3693 : The Applegarth Recreation Ground.
