Kingsbury Underground Station was opened on 10 December 1932 on the Stanmore branch of the Metropolitan Line. Along with the rest of the branch the operation of the railway was transferred to the Bakerloo Line in 1939 and then to the Jubilee Line in 1979. The road in front of the station is the A4006 Kingsbury Road. Only when I downloaded the photo from the camera did I see that some wag had removed the letters GR from the council's black bin in the corner...
