You must go into the vestry in St Michael & All Angels, as there are a number of monuments to the Newtons of Culverthorpe. There are two by Rysbrack and two by Scheemakers. This splendid one is to Sir Michael Newton by Scheemakers.

There is a monument to the unfortunate infant son of the last Countess of Coningsby, who in 1733, was dropped from the parapet of the house by a pet monkey.
