SN9819 : Site of former Storey Arms

taken 8 years ago, 5 km NNW of Nant-Ddu, Powys, Wales

Site of former Storey Arms
Site of former Storey Arms
The modern day 'Storey Arms' is an outdoor centre whereas the establishment which first carried that name was a coaching inn beside the road a few hundred yards further south. The inn which was demolished in 1924 was named after one of its owners. Careful observation reveals low grass covered walls immediately east of the former course of the road which now forms a part of the Pont ar Daf car park. It is recorded on earlier Ordnance Survey maps.
