Weir on Latchmore Brook, Alderhill Inclosure, New Forest
Weir on Latchmore Brook, Alderhill Inclosure, New Forest
The Latchmoor (or Latchmore Brook) flows down from Studley Head, through several inclosures before reaching this point in the Alderhill Inclosure. The bank beneath the camera is being under-cut by turbulent water after it passes over the little weir. Rain for the past few days is draining from the heaths and inclosures to the northeast and swelling this stream.
