NG4929 : Parched 'Bog' on the Allt Daraich path

taken 10 years ago, 3 km from Sconser, Highland, Great Britain

Parched 'Bog' on the Allt Daraich path.
Parched 'Bog' on the Allt Daraich path.
At the same time as many places in England were suffering heavy rainfall and flooding, e.g. TF3564 : Flooding at Old Bolingbroke, the notoriously boggy path from Sligachan along the Allt Daraich was dry and brittle underfoot. Much of north-west Scotland has had six weeks without significant rainfall.
