Pony grazing on Hampton Ridge, New Forest
Pony grazing on Hampton Ridge, New Forest
This area to the north of the track on Hampton Ridge has been subject to 'controlled burning' in the past few years - there are lots of charred gorse remains with new growth beneath, which ponies come to graze on. The pines in the distance are growing on a knoll called Ticketsbury, on the southern edge of Pitts Wood Inclosure.
