Midford Viaduct
Midford Viaduct
This carried the Somerset & Dorset Railway over a road (left, out of view), the Somerset Coal Canal (under the girder bridge and the first arch), the Limpley Stoke and Camerton Railway (which was used as the location for the film "The Titfield Thunderbolt"), and the Midford Brook, all within the space of 168 yards! After 39 years of disuse it has now been converted into a cycle path.
