taken 10 years ago, near to Craighlaw Mains, Dumfries And Galloway, Great Britain

The old military road between Ardachie and Kildarroch.
The old military road between Ardachie and Kildarroch.
The military road was built originally in the 18th century to enable troops to be moved quickly to Ireland in times of trouble, via the then ferry port of Portpatrick. It is now used as a farm track here and elsewhere along its length.
