By Gordon Young, this large friendly looking fox was erected in 1991. He has become an iconic feature, guarding the junction of several paths on the Silurian Way, the longest way-marked path through Grizedale.

My photo was taken 2003 when he was almost a teenager. This year, 2016, will see him reach 25.
