SD6876 : Hidden pothole entrance above Kingsdale

taken 8 years ago, near to Masongill, North Yorkshire, England

Hidden pothole entrance above Kingsdale
This lidded entrance was completely out of sight until I almost walked into it. It must have been opened up fairly recently since it does not appear in my copy of Northern Caves (1994). The wooden frame is to stop sheep (and walkers!) falling in.
