The war memorial and the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Harlington
It is sometimes easy to forget that many of the places within the sprawl of Greater London were once quite remote villages. Such a place is Harlington, just north of Heathrow Airport. The tower of the parish church of St Peter and St Paul dates from 1500 and the porch dates from the same time. The nave, however, is Norman and possesses probably the best Norman doorway in Greater London. This view from St Peters Way looks past the war memorial to the church.
