The forest road crossing the Granite Trail
The Granite Trail follows the route of the Bogie Line, an incline railway which linked Millstone Mountain Quarry and Thomas' Mountain Quarry with Newcastle Harbour. The line of the road ahead was also used by the branch track from Drinneevar Quarry known as the Drinneevar Loop with drams been fed here on to the main line for the final descent to the harbour.
