Fields and trees near Buckholt Farm, Buckholt
This view looking south-east from the eastern edge of Buckholt Farm is of crop fields edged with trees, and beyond, the dip of a shallow dry chalk valley. In the distance the row of trees on the horizon marks the route of the byway that climbs to the top of the eastern end of Broughton Down at 138m. This is the most easterly point of the parish of Buckholt which is the smallest by population in the borough of Test Valley, with just 10 people, and this photo illustrates why. With much of the eastern half of the parish in the photo, there is not a single building in sight.
