A Rusty Shipwreck on the Long Hills at Blakeney Point
A Rusty Shipwreck on the Long Hills at Blakeney Point
The Long Hills are part of an ancient spit of raised beach that extends from the south (inland) side of Blakeney Point. This rusty hulk with its rudder clearly visible must have been deposited here on an exceptionally high tide a great many years ago. In the background is Pinchens Creek with the far sand dunes of Blakeney Point behind.
