ST6364 : Hunstrete Lane

taken 8 years ago, near to Compton Dando, Bath And North East Somerset, England

Hunstrete Lane
Hunstrete Lane
Looking westward to the bridge over the Chew. The cottage nearest the camera has a flood height marker on the wall (see ST6364 : It came up to here); the flood of 1968 saw the waters rise up to about the top of the side door! The old stone bridge was washed away and water devastated much of this part of Woollard.
