Wylye Down, near Wylye
Looking east from a track beside the A303 trunk road, across a wheat field and a dry chalk valley to western side of Wylye Down (pronounced 'Why-lee'). Part of the down is a National Nature Reserve, which straddles both this grid square and the next, see LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) . Apart from its wildlife interest the reserve is also important for the remains of an ancient field system preserved on the site.
