Downland near Wylye 3
This view looking north from a farm track north of the A303 trunk road, is of fields and copses on chalk downland. On the left of the photo is Roakham Hill Copse, and the line of trees that crosses the photo in the far distance marks the shallow valley of the River Wyle (pronounced 'Why-lee'). Beyond the valley in the centre is Codford Hill, 188m high, with Lamb Down to the right. This is the third of a series of views going left to right, the next one being ST9836 : Downland near Wylye 4.
