Shoreham-by-Sea: The Adur Ferry Bridge
Shoreham-by-Sea: The Adur Ferry Bridge
The bridge was opened by HRH The Duke of Gloucester on 13 November 2013 and replaced the old bridge to Shoreham Beach as seen in Malc's TQ2104 : Footbridge to Shoreham Beach. Although the north end of the bridge is at more or less the same point as the old one, the south end is evidently different, falling to the east of the distant block of flats, and not the west. The old footbridge replaced the original ford and ferry crossing over the River Adur to the old Coastguard Station on Shoreham Beach.
