SO0932 : Glacial drainage channel
near to Felinfach, Powys, Great Britain

Glacial drainage channel
This is one of a number of channels in the stretch of relatively low relief country between Brecon and Talgarth which hint at a complicated picture of competing glaciers from the Usk and Wye valleys some 15-20,000 years ago. Moraines and channels give an insight into the dynamics of ice flow and the course of meltwater flows at the end of the last Ice Age.
