Castor railway station (site), Cambridgeshire
Opened in 1847 by the London & Birmingham Railway, later part of the London & North Western Railway, on the line from Northampton to Peterborough East, this station closed to passengers in 1957 and completely in 1964.
View north west towards Wansford and Northampton. The main building had been to the left of the tracks. The tracks are now owned by the Nene Valley (preserved) Railway but no station has been reopened here. Taken from the back of a steam train.
