HY2509 : Hamnavoe

taken 10 years ago, near to Stromness, Orkney Islands, Great Britain

Hamnavoe
Hamnavoe
The deep sheltered fjord at Stromness is used by large and small boats - car ferry, fishing and diving boats. The port of Stromness lies on the western side of the fjord and has a distinct Norwegian feel with its stone houses gable-end on to the stone piers. The background hills are on the island of Hoy.
