ST4135 : Footpath to Greinton

taken 17 years ago, near to Greinton, Somerset, England

Footpath to Greinton
Footpath to Greinton
A sticky footpath along the edge of a maize field. This part of the Somerset Levels is a couple of metres higher than most of the land, and consequently provides very productive arable land. However, after heavy rain, the rich loam collects on the boots.

The village of Greinton is in the distance, beneath the Polden Hills.
