Junctions of Hancock's Lane and Watery Lane with A4104
The A4104 runs from Pershore to Little Malvern and was maintained by a turnpike trust. Hancock's Lane goes off to the left and down to Castlemorton Common. Named, I believe, after Joseph Hancock who owned much land here. The modern sign has recently been damaged (possibly by a grass verge cutter or hedge trimmer) and has now been removed, but the old iron post remains. A small sign for Strawbyn Kennels & Cattery sits at the base. Off to the right, a short distance up the road, is the entrance to the unadopted Watery Lane leading to Mayall's Farm and Upper Welland Village.
