TF0510 : Crossed wires

taken 12 years ago, near to Belmesthorpe, Rutland, Great Britain

Crossed wires
Crossed wires
In the field near Seven Acre Wood two sets of power lines cross each other, the one where the pylons are visible heading south-north from St. Neots to Torksey power station on the River Trent and the other heading east-west from Bourne to Stamford. It seems strange that the lines should need to cross like this, but no doubt there is an explanation.
