Old railway bridge abutment
Not much remains of the old railway embankment on this side of the road. The railway was used for transport of munitions during the war.

Known as "the Potts" the line was built in 1866 closing in 1880. It reopened as the Shropshire and Montgomeryshire Light Railway in 1911. Passenger services ceased in 1933 and the line finally closed in 1962.
