SK9705 : Footpath diversion

taken 12 years ago, near to Ketton, Rutland, Great Britain

Footpath diversion
Footpath diversion
Due to the expansion of Ketton quarry, there are significant footpath diversions in this area. The original route of the Macmillan Way and Hereward Way goes up the obvious track towards the lone tree. But people ignoring the signs and going that way will fall down a big hole (the extended quarry) just over the horizon.
Follow the diversion to the left. Please!
